Installation From Start To Finish
Step 1
The first step is to take a look at the space and ensure that we know what is needed in order to ensure that the new floor can be installed.
Step 3
Once the hardwood flooring is delivered, we start preparing your sub-floor. (If you have an existing floor covering like a laminate floor, carpet, tile or vinyl flooring, we can arrange to have it removed for you.) The subfloor is checked for flatness. If there are highs or lows, we grind down or fill in those areas to ensure a flat surface to install over.
Step 4
Most sub-floors we work with need to be primed with specialized products to ensure proper adhesion, as in the case of glue down hardwood flooring installation over concrete. Some need specialized underlayment.
Step 5
Once the racking is done for a substantial part of the floor, the installation begins. The method of installation will vary depending on the type of hardwood flooring material you selected as well as the type of subfloor you have. The glue-down method is the most popular installation we do.

Wire Brushed Floors

Red Oak Hardwood Floors

Maple Hardwood Floors

Because maple hardwood is sensitive to changes in humidity, it’s not recommended that you use a wet mop to clean maple floors. Instead, it’s best to use a soft broom or a soft rag to keep maple hardwood clean and in pristine condition for many years.

First and foremost, herringbone floors are expensive. All wood flooring is a premium price, but when you add herringbone , it complicates the installation process and requires more material because of the pattern, thus making it even more expensive.

General upkeep:
We recommend using a microfibre mop on engineered wood floors to stay ultra-gentle, but using a regular mop is also fine, as long as it remains damp and not soaking wet. It is also possible to carefully vacuum your new wood floors without causing damage. Just make sure that your vacuum is lightweight, with a hardwood-mode or recallable harsh bristle bar that may cause scratches.
Laminate Floors
If you’re looking for a fake wood floor, laminate flooring is a superb option to choose. It gives you all the beauty and elegance of a wooden floor at a more affordable cost. In fact, the cost of laminate flooring tends to be lower than actual hardwood floors, and you can choose from lots of varieties to get the wood effect you like the most, such as a cherry laminate floor or oak laminate flooring. Water spills aren’t a problem if they’re wiped up quickly, and not allowed to sit for a prolonged period of time.
